Call for Presentations: Tenth Annual Rural Behavioral Health Conference
Updated: Sep 25, 2018
Presentation proposal deadline is March 30, 2018.
This year's conference will be October 5, 2018.
THEME -- This year’s theme centers on Promoting Resilience in Rural Families. We encourage presentations that uphold our mission, are based on evidence-based practices and promote clinical tools and practical skills through the lens of family and rurality. For the purposes of the conference, family may include rural children, adolescents, and elders in addition to the family unit. Examples of presentations might include:
The impact of and treatment of opioid addiction
Trauma based diagnosis and treatment
Ethics and Multiple Relationships
Suicide Assessment and Treatment
This is a webcast conference. Due to the growth of the conference, the platform and format of the webcast conference is in the process of being finalized. With the exception of one 2-hour Keynote presenter, the length of presentations will be 90 minutes. This includes 15 minutes of Q&A. Due to webcasting across six time zones, we will ask two presenters to present at both the beginning and the end of the conference. After a presentation is accepted, we will need a professional photograph and a short bio. All presenters will need to send Power Points and other handouts at least 3 weeks before the conference, by Friday, September 14, 2018. Presenters will receive free conference registration and CE credit, as well as a $100 honorarium/presentation (double for the two repeat presenters).
